Registration conditions
- Who may register?
- Anyone, worldwide, via a registrar. Registrants based outside the Netherlands accept the SIDN address as their address for service.
- Length
- 2 to 63 characters.
- Characters
- a–z, 0–9 and hyphen; the hyphen only between two letters or digits.
- Technology
- At least two name servers.
- Registrant data
- Registrant and administrative contact with a reachable e-mail address.
- Term
- Open-ended at SIDN. After cancellation the name first goes into quarantine.
- Transfer
- With a transfer token: the current registrar must provide it to the holder within 5 days. The new registrar submits the token to SIDN and the domain is transferred immediately. Confirmation is sent by e-mail to the administrative contact.
