Registration conditions
- Who may register?
- Natural persons resident, and organisations with their seat or principal place of business, in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland. The same applies to the administrative contact.
- Length
- Up to 63 characters. One- and two-character names are not permitted.
- Characters
- a–z, 0–9 and hyphen as well as accents and special characters such as à, é, ç, ö, œ or ß. No hyphen at the beginning or end and not in positions 3 and 4.
- Allocation
- In order of application. Afnic checks certain terms in advance.
- Registrant data
- The registrant and the administrative contact must be reachable by phone and e-mail.
- Term
- 1 to 10 years; renewal is tacit.
