Registration conditions
- Who may register?
- Only with a connection to the USA (“nexus”): US citizens, persons with permanent residence or principal domicile in the USA, organisations incorporated under US law and foreign organisations with a bona fide presence in the USA.
- Proof
- The registrant confirms its nexus category at registration. The condition applies permanently; the registry carries out spot checks.
- In case of deficiencies
- If the nexus declaration is missing, the registration is rejected. For other deficiencies the name is suspended for 30 days and then deleted if not corrected.
- Registrant data
- Name and address of the registrant, contact details for the registrant and the technical and administrative contacts, and two name servers.
- Transfer
- Via AuthInfo code: the current registrar must provide it within 5 calendar days and remove any transfer lock. Within 60 days of registration or the last transfer the change may be refused.
