Registration conditions
- Who may register?
- Only companies in the insurance industry and those directly connected to it, such as brokers, consultants, authorities, associations and service providers, based in Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein or Switzerland. No private individuals. Checked at registration and annually thereafter.
- Use
- Use within 6 months, with insurance-related content.
- Length
- 1 to 63 characters.
- Characters
- 0–9, a–z, hyphen and certain Latin and Cyrillic special characters. No hyphen at the beginning or end, not in positions 3 and 4.
- Allocation
- First come, first served.
- Term
- 1 to 10 years.
- Transfer
- With an auth code (auth info) under the ICANN Transfer Policy. A lock period applies after a new registration or transfer.
- After expiry
- Restore possible during the Redemption Grace Period (ICANN rules).
- Disputes
- ICANN Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP).
